Julie Langford-Zecora

Having been summoned by Twilight Sparkle to aid in the search for a vaccine of a previously unknown disease outbreak at the Olympia construction site, Zecora packs some herbs and potions, and her medical books before she goes to help.  Upon arriving at the Olympia building site, she is quickly briefed about recent events by Twilight and Fancy Pants.  She recognizes the symptoms as similar to those from her homeland, which she confirms upon finding fields of the plant around the construction site.  With her prior knowledge, she informs Twilight that the cure is in the cursed plant itself; add its nectar to a stew of its leaves set to boil.

Having never seen a Zebra in person, Fancy Pants ask her of her talents and history, as well as asking her to stay encase something else pops up.  She agrees to this as it might happen in this rarely ventured land, and the promise of his city gives her hope that her work here will create positive Zebra-Pony relations as, witnessed in Ponyville, they are not as becoming at the moment.  Upon further survey of the site, she finds new and rare herbs in abundance, giving her enough to work with to create new potions.

Some time into her stay, Fancy Pants inquires her about the possibility of changing certain characteristics of plants.  Upon being pressed to be more specific, he explains that he would like a plant, a tree preferably, be able to survive with little care and have a high rate of respiration.  Finding this an odd request, she questions where this might be of use.  He tells her that his mother recently had an asthma attack, and so has become bedridden and needs to be hooked up to an air tank all the time.  He thought it would be a nice gift to free her of it with something that will saturate the air around her with oxygen, and, since she is still weak, doesn't need to be tended to too often.   Feeling humbled, she accepts under similar reasoning to why she stayed, though she is still happy to help and this will also allow her to test out the local herbs that are new to her.

I chose Zecora to personify Langford since they appeared to have similarities: They both have experience with mixing miracle concoctions, and appear to be the only ones that care about and work with plants.
